The White House is negotiating a deal for the release of
hostages and a cease-fire in Gaza. However, it hasn't been accomplished yet.
Jake Sullivan, the US National Security Advisor, told NBC on Sunday. However,
the fighting still goes on despite the regional leaders meeting to propose a
truce.

Sullivan told reporters, "We are actively trying to implement it (agreement)." We continue to work on this now and have a close relationship with important regional powers.
He further stated, "We haven't reached there (agreement) yet, but we hope we can reach an agreement on a ceasefire and the release of the hostages." Following Israeli airstrikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon, Sullivan made these remarks.
Supported by Iran and Israel, the truce between the armed factions is still in a very precarious position. "The United States is working with the Lebanese army to implement the ceasefire agreement 'effectively,'" Sullivan told NBC regarding the violence. We wish to safeguard it and ensure its complete functionality.
In the meantime, there are "signals" that suggest
a deal for the release of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza could be carried out,
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar stated in Jerusalem on Sunday.
"There is a desire to proceed with this matter,"
he stated. I'm hoping it will advance. We're determined to get the hostages
back. It is an obligation that we must fulfill. Sarr added, however, that Hamas
would "certainly not be given" the opportunity to govern Gaza.
